Every person experiences adversity at some point in their lives. Sometimes you need
an unbiased therapist to help you process personal issues and see situations from a
different perspective. I can do that for you in a kind, caring, person centered way! I
believe in meeting the client where they are at emotionally. Together we will use a
variety of techniques to facilitate healing such as talking through your thoughts and
feelings (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), creative activities (Art Therapy), or calming
techniques (like Tapping). If you’re in a relationship, I also use Gottman methods to help couples grow stronger.
I hold a B.A. in Liberal Studies and an M.S. in Counseling from California State
University, Sacramento (CSUS). As a retired teacher with 30 years of experience
working with children and families from diverse backgrounds, I bring a wealth of
understanding to my practice. My areas of specialization include grief counseling,
trauma, couples therapy, individual support, ADHD, and coping strategies for anxiety
and depression.
Taking the first step to get help can be difficult, but it’s also a big step toward feeling
better. I’m here to support you on this journey.
